Aldo Zambetti

Administrator

Sheet Metal Occupational Health Institute Trust (SMOHIT)

Aldo Zambetti began his career as a sheet metal worker more than 40 years ago at Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 in Philadelphia, where he worked his way up to the position of Training Coordinator. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from the National Labor College in 2011, and in 2014 he took a position as a Field Staff Representative with the ITI. During his time with the ITI, Aldo taught many OSHA classes, giving training coordinators and instructors the knowledge and skills to keep their members and apprentices healthy and safe on the jobsite. In 2021, Aldo took that passion for health and safety training to SMOHIT as its Program Director and, soon after, moved into the role of Administrator in 2022. As head of the organization, he coordinates and implements SMOHIT’s various programs to local unions and contributing contractors, including the Member Assistance Program (MAP). Aldo works closely with Program Administrator Jeff Bradley to continue innovating and expanding the ways SMOHIT can help members maintain their physical and mental well-being. He also assists local unions and signatory contractors to develop plans and implement programs to make the workplace a safe and healthy environment.
