Ben Cort’s passion for recovery, prevention and harm reduction comes from his own struggle. Sober since 1996, Ben has been a part of nearly every step of the recovery movement, from being a recipient to a provider to a spokesperson. He is CEO of the Foundry Steamboat Springs, an inpatient treatment program for men in the mountains of Colorado. Ben is a Junior Fellow at the University of Florida’s Drug Policy Institute; a board member for the National Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies (NALGAP); and a board member for Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM). He authored the 2017 book “Weed, Inc.,” and his TED talk “Surprising Truths About Legalizing Cannabis” has been viewed over 3.5 million times.
