John Keating is the system sales manager for the West region at IPG Photonics, where he has spent seven years specializing in laser systems sales. Based at IPG’s Silicon Valley Technology Center in San Jose, California, he leads sales for the LightWELD handheld laser welder.
Since the product’s launch in 2020, Keating has been the top-performing LightWELD salesperson. He has more than 13 years of experience in metal fabrication equipment sales, including time at Amada America from 2016 to 2018. He is a 2012 graduate of Wheaton College in Massachusetts and is originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts.
